So, in an effort to utilize the RANDOM.ORG website to host my drawing of a whopping 2 entries, I failed miserably.

OK...not a total failure...

I WAS able to enter the MIN number of 1 and the MAX number of 2 and GENERATE a result of....

ONE (1)...as my WINNER!!

But my attempt to screen-shot or post the widget of the result FAILED

The Secret of TWINKIES...Revealed!...with a GIVEAWAY!

Ok...now that I have your undivided attention, I wanted to share a bit more detail about my new discovery. 

Because I'm nice like that...

Growing up, and heck, even to this day, Twinkies have been one of my favorite foods I sneak when no one is looking snacks to indulge in.  So when the nice people at Betty Crocker (via MyBlogSpark) gave me the chance to try a soon-to-be released product Fun-da-middles...I JUMPED at the chance.  I mean WHO can resist the light, spongy, creme-filled heaven of a twinkie-like cupcake?!?

A Million Morning Smiles GIVEAWAY...

I don't know about you, but mornings are always rushed around my house.  It's a big rat-race to the finish to get out the door for school on time!  We have a hard enough time getting our teeth brushed, let alone making time to eat breakfast.

One of my favorite breakfast foods growing up was a Strawberry Toaster Strudel pastry.  Not only was it flaky on the outside (like me :), but the warm, gooey strawberry filling on the inside was a welcomed change from the bland Pop Tart or peanut butter toast I was usually stuck eating.  The very BEST part was the yummy icing packet that I got to use to swirl sweet deliciousness on top of my Toaster Strudel!

I was thrilled when my friends at My Blog Spark gave me the opportunity to host a giveaway on my blog to you, my fabulous readers! They, along with General Mills Pillsbury provided me with a coupon for a FREE box of those delicious Toaster Strudel pastries, a bright yellow smile face place mat and mug, topped off with an adorable Pillsbury Dough Boy who giggles when his tummy is squeezed!

Brooklynn wanted to decorate her Toaster Strudel with a heart and a person :)  And, of course, the smile-face stress ball had to watch her decorate!

Magical Holidays...

I have GOT to start updating regularly. 

I just took a trip down memory lane by looking back at this Blog and enjoyed reminiscing how much our lives have changed in such a short time.  Please, if you still come here to read and you see that I have not updated in a while, PLEASE give me a hard time and push me to update! 

On to the Magical Holidays...

I wish I could freeze time.  Keep the kids at 5 and 7 forever.

  Never let them lose the spirit of Christmas and Santa.

Always enjoying gingerbread house building 

Being extra well-behaved for Pokey so that he sends a good report to Santa each night

Receiving special gifts from family and friends

Delighting in the fact that the highlight of the year is staying up until midnight on New Year's Eve and drinking Sparkling Grape Juice out of fancy glasses.

and never forgetting the special times had with great friends

...sigh... 

One other event that is consuming both our minds and our home is the upcoming Pinewood Derby.  And one would not consider themselves properly prepared for such Derby unless you had your very own test-track to verify that you do, indeed, have the fastest car.

Although, in Rob's defense, Logan is having the time of his life...not to mention the "old Boy Scouts" coming out of the woodwork with their 30 year-old cars, testing the track to see if their car still has the speed it once did!

I will sure to check back in to update you on the progress of the Derby!

I am getting ready to create some Christmas cards this year and just looked back at an old design I liked from Shutterfly last year.  They have the most amazing templates to choose from!  I am snapping some shots this weekend of the kids and will place my order this week!
